Whales and Mariachi Bands

In 1983, I was disillusioned with public accounting and trying to figure out what to do with my life. Rhonda and I booked a trip to Mexico to give us time to sort it all out. The area was more Caribbean than what we think of as Mexican, and the food reflected that. However, mariachi bands were common in the tourist areas. We asked the concierge to book us a table at the most expensive place in town…turned out to be $21 before tip.
